If you have any of the following items spare at home or know where to get hold of them and are happy to donate we would be extremely grateful.
Adult size plastic plates, cups and cutlery e.g. BBQ sets.
Plastic margarine tubs or take away containers.
Children’s size safety glasses (maybe dentists could get hold of these?)
With thanks
Even though we didn’t get quite as much snow as we hoped we did make sure we made the most of it on Friday,
The children had fun together making snow castles, ice cars and a snow mountain.
This week we have been very busy learning and having fun at school. Here are a few photos showing the children choosing their own learning using different areas in our classroom.
Building, painting, drawing and creating lighthouses after hearing the story of Grace Darling.
Making a number line, ordering the numbers while describing one more than….
Busy at the opticians, trying on glasses and having eyes tested.
Writing stories on the interactive whiteboard.
Solving mathematics problems on the number Shark Program.
We will be making light houses for our Grace Darling topic so please send in your old cardboard kitchen roll holders or pringle packets.
We always welcome any old cardboard boxes and small containers for making interesting things, so do please send them in.
With thanks

If anyone has any old children’s plastic or wooden furniture you are thinking of throwing away we would be very happy to have it for our outside area.
With thanks.
After the relaxing Christmas holiday it was time to think about how our bodies feel when we are active and how exercise can improve health, make you feel good and helps our bodies work well.
We had an enjoyable P.E. lesson exploring and investigating body parts that are capable of taking weight for balancing.
As you can see the children worked hard and thought about their body tension when balancing.
Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for all your kind Christmas wishes and gifts. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
It’s lovely to be back with the children now ready to make a great start to 2017.
Here’s some of the learning we have been doing in class this week.
Using the place value charts to investigate and compare numbers to 20.
For additional information about the homework click on the Homework tab.
With thanks
