Investigating 3 D Shapes

The children enjoyed investigating 3D shapes in the outdoor area. Thinking about their properties and using their reasoning skills to sort by set criteria.

We even had a game of, ‘I spy with my shape eye. A shape with……….. vertices, faces, edges……’

We had a lovely time.

We are now on Twitter as a class! Search STWry1 to send a follow request (as this is a private account not available to view to the public) so you can then get more updates from our class through twitter!

Class Liturgy Wednesday 24th May 2.30pm

To celebrate and respond to the end of our topic on Pentecost we will be having a class liturgy.

Parents and family are invited to our classroom on Wednesday 24th May at 2.30pm.

It will be a chance to share some of the assembly again.

We will have a little celebration after the Liturgy with juice and biscuits.

R/Y1 Assembly A Great Success!

Congratulations to all the children for performing their class assembly ‘A Special Friend’ so well.

The children spoke clearly, danced beautifully and acted brilliantly to share the important message to the whole school of the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Day.

Assembly Parts

Dear Parents,

Please help your child by practising their assembly part this week.

If you have lost the script please let me know and I will do you another one.

With thanks

Outdoor Learning

The children enjoyed the sunshine in the outdoor area this week and had the opportunity to experience the ‘Holiday’ themed area. the children worked together to generate ideas, solve problems and have fun.

Well done to everyone who supported their child to complete the Easter homework. The children are very proud of themselves too. It really does make a difference to your child’s learning when they are able to practise and apply what they are learning at school within their home environment.

Thank you
