Nativity

We are so proud of all the children for their efforts during our nativity performances. They tried so hard to sing all the words and learn the actions. Thank you parents for your support at home learning the words and providing the costumes. They all looked fantastic!

Homework

The children have all worked so hard this term that we are not setting any additional homework over the Christmas holidays. The children will still be bringing reading books/ additional pages in Reception green reading books home over the holidays. It would be great if you could just spend a little bit of time on these as the children are making such good progress with their reading. Reception have not been given story sacks as we will be going through them all during the holidays.

Many thanks for all your support with the reading at home. It really does make a difference when the children are regularly reading at home as well as at school.

Christmas Jumper Day

What a lovely day we have had today! Thank you to our fantastic PTA for funding the pantomime ‘Aladdin.’ The children absolutely loved it!

Thank you also to our fantastic cooks to for our lovely Christmas dinner! The children really enjoyed it and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere!

We finished our special day making calanders and taking part in lots of fun Christmas activities.

Homework

Spellings this week are ascouldwhatoh and I’m.   If you are reading a book to your child, can you ask them any questions about the characters and where the book is set.

We have also been looking at number bonds to 10.  It would be great if you can play a game with your child at home asking them to call out the number you add to make 10. E.g. if you call out 4, they reply 6. Many thanks.

Key Stage 1 Nativity

Just a reminder that the Key Stage 1 Nativity will be taking place on Tuesday 19th December and Wednesday 2oth December.

We have been asked that the children dress as people of Bethlehem. Something as simple as a dressing gown and tea towel could be used. Please can your child bring their costume into school by Friday 15th December in a named carrier bag.

Many thanks.
