We would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas! We would also like to thank you for our wonderful gifts and lovely comments, it has been a lovely term, thank you for all your support. It is really appreciated. We hope the children have a lovely, safe and restful Christmas. Here are a few photographs of our last few days. Merry Christmas!
Just to remind you all that we have a very well deserved Christmas party tomorrow! The children can come to school in their own clothes. Many thanks.
This week was the last week of story sacks before the Christmas holidays. They will be collected in next week and reissued in January. Thank you, have a lovely weekend.
We will be having a Christmas party next Thursday afternoon. We will put up a list of food etc on the window. Please can you send in an item with your child next Thursday for our party. Please be aware that we have children with nut allergies in our class. Thank you!
I apologise as we have had to cancel tomorrow’s Advent Service at 3pm due to the Panto. I am really sorry about this, please do not worry if next week’s sessions are full, just add your name to them.
We’ve had such a lovely day. We started the day off with our sponsored reindeer races. Our class was teamed up with Year 5/6. We played snowball and spoon race where the children were tied together and both had to hold the spoon steady. Then we played Santa and reindeer races where together the children had to collect carrots and race to get them all. They all had lots of fun.
After our reindeer races, we had fun with Christmas maths activities and designing Christmas jumpers. For dinner, we enjoyed our roast and pulling crackers!
In the afternoon the children worked super hard practicing for our nativity next week!
Year 1 Maths – This week the children have been busy practising their number bonds to 10. We have set a video on ‘Maths with Parents’ called Number bonds that equal 10 . It would be great if you can watch the video and help your child complete some of the activities.
Spellings for this week are – back, have, where, just.
