Just to remind Y1 parents that all of Y1 are on their trip tomorrow in the afternoon to work on some mapping skills. Please make sure your child has a warm, waterproof coat and suitable footwear. A woolly hat and gloves might also be a good idea. School uniform should be worn as usual but children are welcome to bring an additional fleece/jumper as well as their coat. We are leaving after lunch and will be back before the end of the school day. For those parents helping, we will be aiming to leave just after 1pm.
Reception children will be accessing the provision in and outside the classroom. They will also be doing some mapping skills around our school woods over the next few weeks.
The video and activities on maths with parents remains the same as last week (telling the time to the hour and half past).
Spellings are: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Yesterday the children took part in a lovely class worship where we reflected on the special people in our lives. The children have brought home a heart to share with you with a special message on.
We have had a lovely afternoon learning about the special people in Church. Two children from Year 6 came into our lesson to talk about their special roles as an altar Server and a member of the choir.
Happy new Year! We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and a lovely break!
There is a new video on the maths with parents website. We’re starting to learn about time, and the video and activities are about telling the time to the hour and half hour. Have fun!
Spellings are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
