More information is at the bottom of this week’s newsletter. Don’t forget if your child has decorated an egg or made a bonnet to send a photograph tonight to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight tonight. Thank you!
We have had a lovely week this week doing lots of learning and playing. The Year 1 children have been learning the explorer ‘Captain Cook’ so hopefully they will be able to tell you a few facts as they were sailors on his ship!
We have also been learning about ‘Palm Sunday’ in RE and we made our palms and recreated the scene where Jesus rode on a donkey into Jerusalem. Here are some pictures of our lovely week.
Just to remind you all that it is non-uniform day on Monday the 29th March. The children can wear fancy dress or simply their favourite outfit. This is for The Good Shepherd Appeal, the Good Shepherd Appeal is a vital local charity for families in need in our diocese and our classes are asking for your support! If you would like to donate, this can be done through parentpay. Thank you, have a lovely weekend.
Just to remind you that tomorrow as it is non uniform day to help raise money for Comic Relief, the children are invited to make a £1 donation via parent pay to wear something red or non uniform. Due to covid we ask that children do not bring any accessories i.e. a red noses
We would appreciate any junk materials if you have them at home as the children love using them, for example cereal boxes, kitchen roll tubes, egg boxs. Also as a part of RE topic growing, we will be watching cress grow, if you have any empty yogurt pots that would be brilliant. Many thanks.
We have had such a lovely first week back together as a class! Thank you to all our wonderful children for making it so special. We have taken part in book day activities and have really enjoyed our science week. Most of all, we have enjoyed playing together again as a class and being really happy. In science week, we have taken part in activities around superheroes, Spy Magnus, Super girl, Commander Classify, Captain Peeko and Billy Bookhead. We enjoyed a visit from Wilfrid the school tortoise too!
If it’s ok, we would like to keep your child’s favourite book in school until next week so we can share them with the children that are returning to school. If you are coming back and would like to bring your favourite book to share that would be lovely. We can not wait to have our class back and see everyone together! Have lovely weekend.
