We would just like to say a huge thank you for the amazing gifts, lovely cards and kind words! We are not just saying it but this class has been amazing, despite the situation it has been such a lovely, fun year. We will miss each one of them so much. We hope the children have a lovely, safe and well deserved break. Take care everyone and see you all in September x
We would like to thank the PTA for a fantastic fun day! We have absolutely loved it. We loved all the activities – a circus workshop, RuggerEds session, time on the bouncy castle, looking at animals, arts and crafts and we loved having our ice cream at the end of the day! Thank you for our lovely goody bags too. So much organisation and effort went into this so thank you. It was lovely seeing the children having the best time with their friends after a strange year. I think your children will be quite tired tonight!
We have our school tortoise that would love a home for over summer, if anyone would like to take care of him, please ring school or send an email. Thank you!
We’ve had such a lovely day for our teddy bear picnic. The children have enjoyed having a treat with their teddies on the field. They have made dens in the woods for their teddies, played parachute games and hunted for small teddies around school. Not only have the children had fantastic fun but they were so kind in the teddy bear game, helping each other to find a teddy.
Just to let you know we told our children they can come in PE kits today so either uniform or their PE kit is fine. Children don’t forget your teddies and snack!
We hope you enjoy looking at your child’s work books from across the year. After you’ve had a look, please could Year 1 children return their geography, history, science and design technology books as these will be passed on to the next teacher.
Thank you :)
Firstly, thank you so much for the report feedback slips we’ve had back so far. We really are very proud of everything that the children have achieved in this difficult year. They have been a fantastic class and are all so kind and caring towards each other.
Just a few notices for this week.
As it is the last week of school, could you please make sure that you bring back any library books. We have recently invested in new books for the library trolley which the children have really loved, it might be nice to continue this over the summer visiting your local library. If you have lost or misplaced your library book, we would really appreciate it if you could buy a replacement to help continue this wonderful project.
We will send home reading books for over the summer, it is really important to continue reading with your child daily to ensure they are building confidence and fluency ready for year 1 and year 2. Please could these books be returned in September so that we have enough for the next year group.
Tomorrow we will be sending home some of your child’s school books. Please could bring in a large bag or a bag for life for these to go home in. Please don’t worry if you forget this as we will try to have some spares.
On Wednesday we will be having a teddy bears picnic, children are invited to bring in their favourite teddy bear and an extra snack for the afternoon, children will still have lunch as normal.
On Thursday we are having a school ‘Fun Day’ to celebrate the children finishing for the summer. We have lots of exciting activities planned such as petting animals and a bouncy castle. Thursday will be a non-uniform day.
Thank you and we hope that the children have a really lovely last week!
We have had a lovely week in school. We have taken part in a dance workshop and Qualitas have been in to run a great PE session which the children loved. We have had a super day celebrating England reaching the final. We enjoyed decorating biscuits in red and white, some of us enjoyed making a trophy for the winners of the Euros, we also learnt about the super role model Marcus Rashford. We also loved singing the ‘Three Lions’ song ready to cheer England on! Good luck England, we are hoping it’s coming home!
Here are some photos of our week…
Hi all, just to let you know it is PE tomorrow (Wednesday) so please can your child come to school in their PE kit.
This Friday is our Euro Day, children can wear football kits or non-uniform, it would be great if their clothing can consist of the finalists flag colours or kit colour (hopefully red or white!) Please can your child wear appropriate footwear as we will be having some mini games of football and we will also be taking part in a dance workshop.
We will also be decorating football biscuits for our snack, please let us know if you are not sure about this as it is no problem at all. We will do this safely and individually, ensuing that children will be handed out their own toppings etc by the teacher and they will have their own plates and plastic cutlery. Also it would be appreciated if you have any junk materials like kitchen roll tubes, cereal boxes, plastic milk bottles or cordial plastic bottle to send in as we would like to design and make a Euro trophy.
Thank you and have a good week.
